The International Energy Initiative once again promotes the "Workshop Innovation to Establish the Photovoltaic Solar Energy Sector in Brazil (Inova FV)". In partnership with the Interdisciplinary Center of Energy Planning (NIPE) of the University of Campinas (Unicamp), it will be held on March 13 and 14, 2012, at Unicamp (city of Campinas, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil). Visit the website in Portuguese here.
The 2° Inova FV is more than a follow-up of the previous one, trying to bring new discussion elements of practical relevance as, for instance, the international experience regarding the reduction of bureaucratic barriers to the development of photovoltaics installations as well as the German regulations and policy experience to successfully create its market and develop its industry.
In addition, taking as framework the conclusions and recommendations of the first workshop, it is important to follow up what has been occurring since then to answer questions such as: What were the advances achieved since then? There has been synergy and coordination between actors? Have conditions to the establishment of the PV market itself been created (internal and external)? Which are the challenges that already persist and which are the proposed solutions? Answers to these questions will allow to pinpoint corrections and attention points as well as redirect, or add new, efforts if necessary.
